Welcome Message from Principal Grosso

1/9/15

Dear Smith Community,

Happy New Year and welcome back! This week was a week of transitioning back into a routine after the break and reflecting on our goals for the year. In the beginning of the year we set goals for our students and the school that will drive instruction and set high expectations academically. The following goals were adopted:
Goal #1 Increase Language Arts proficiency for all grades.
Goal # 2 High Expectations and Achievement for All
Goal # 3 Consistent and Rigorous Instruction Across All Classrooms

Moving forward into the New Year, these goals are consistently being addressed and reviewed to provide a successful experience for your children and the school. All of our interventions and advancements have been driven by these goals and continue to take priority. I encourage you to continue to be a part of this process and have high expectations for accomplishing these goals both within the classroom and the school. If you have questions or ideas on adding to these goals, as always, please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,
Anthony M. Grosso
